Windows 98
Progress 8.3x
SYMPTOM(s):

Disconnect from server; server has no more network buffer space. (2657)
Disconnect from server; database is being shutdown. (2659)
Problem is not seen on NT or Windows 95

CAUSE:
There is a bug in the Realtek8029 driver for the Realtek8029 network card which comes with Windows 98.
To determine if you are experiencing the bug with the driver:
Upload a large (10-50 Mb) self-extracting file from a computer with Realtek8029 installed to another computer (using eitherTCP/IP or IPX).
IF file is corrupted (some bits are lost and archive is damaged) THEN you have the Windows 98 driver installed, otherwise you have the manufacturer's driver installed.
FIX:
Upgrade the drivers for the Realtek8029 network card.
