GOAL:
How to see secondary login broker startup parameters?
GOAL:
Is there a way to see what startup parameters were passed to a secondary login broker when it was started?
GOAL:
What file can I look at to identify which parameters were given to the secondary login broker when it was started via Progress Explorer?
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge Category: Database
OpenEdge Database Category: Configuration
FIX:
A secondary login broker can be started from command line, scripts or via the Progress Explorer or the OpenEdge Explorer. If starting the database from via the Progress Explorer, the information pertinent to the servers/brokers for this database are recorded in the conmgr.properties file located in $DLC/properties directory or %DLC%\properties folder.
If the secondary login broker was started from command line, you can use either process explorer to look at the PID associated with a process to identify which command line parameters were passed to it. The same can be done from a UNIX platform making use of the ps command or the pargs command. Example: ps -eaf | grep PID > outfile or pargs <pid>.
