Login to Actuate Report Server from MS Explorer
INTRODUCTION:
=============
When running webbased Actuate and IIS webserver you might get "access
denied" from Microsoft Explorer when you try to login to the Report
Server. In this scenario Netscape most likely will work so it can be a
bit confusing.
WHY YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS:
===========================
There is some settings on the IIS (Internet Information Server) that
needs to be configured.
PROCEDURAL APPROACH:
====================
On IIS 3.0:
Launch Internet Services Manager.
Check the WWW Properties -> Password Authentication
Make sure that "Allow Anonymous" and "Basic Clear Text" are checked
Make sure that "NT Challenge Response" is not checked
If you are running IIS 4.0:
Launch Internet Services Manager
Right click the WWW to get to the properties
Check "Allow Anonymous" and Basic (Clear Text)
Uncheck "Windows NT Challenge/Respons.
