SYMPTOM(s):

Trying to load an incremental .df file fails with a (15262) error.

Unable to make Schema changes on line after upgrading to 10.2B.

Requested Schema change not allowed on-line, aborting the change (15262)

FACT(s) (Environment):

The option to "Add new objects on-line" is checked in the Load Data Definitions screen.
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.2B

CHANGE:

Upgraded from 10.1B to 10.2B.

CAUSE:

The incremental .df contains statements that modify existing objects (.e.g. RENAME INDEX "index1" TO "index2" ON "customer"). Select the "Add new objects on-line" option only if no modifications are being made to existing objects. The Load Data Definitions screen does contain the following warning message:
"If you select that you are only adding new objects on-line and you try to modify existing objects, all changes could be rolled back."

FIX:

Uncheck the "Add new objects on-line" option if the incremental .df contains modifications to existing objects.
