SYMPTOM(s):
SQLSRV engine opens lg file in different location than the database lg file
SQL server process incorrectly determines the location of the database log file when the path-name of the database contains a folder with the extension ".db"
database: C:\foo.db\dev\sports.db
C:\foo.lg is created when SQLSRV connection spawned
SQLSRV2 promsgs are written to another lg file
When SQLSRV2 messages are written to the alternate lg file, they are missing in the the database log file

Workaround is not to use directories with .db folder extensions
