SYMPTOM(s):
Running legacy Report Builder reports in new install and getting error "convmap.cp was not found"
** "<file-name>" was not found. (293)
** convmap.cp was not found. (293)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Application program calling Report Engine is located on a server.
Application program is run remotely from a client.
convmap.cp exists in server DLC.
Windows
OpenEdge 10.2A
CHANGE:
Upgraded from Progress 9.1E to OpenEdge 10.2A
CAUSE:
The progress.ini file was on a mapped drive and pointed to a directory local to the machine whose drive was mapped rather than the relative reference necessary to find the file from the remote client.
FIX:
Copy progress.ini to a local folder and modify the path references to DLC and any other necessary path references to the client's perspective.
e.g. If the drive mapping to the Progress/OpenEdge install is E: on one client and G: on another, the progress.ini file will need to be modified to reflect the correct drive letter.
