SYMPTOM(s):
Error: ODBC. This client is not licensed for remote connections. (4406)
Error when using ODBC connection
CAUSE:
The above error can be related to a Lisencing problem either on the machine where the OIB has been started OR on the Client machine.
FIX:
1) If the Database Access Mode (From ODBC Administrator) has been configured as "Via Server" you need to install:
- Progress Client Networking on the client machine
- Progress Client Networking on the machine where the OIB has been started
2) If the Database Access Mode (From ODBC Administrator) has been configured as "Direct" you need to Install:
- Progress Client Networking on the client machine
