Progress 90A problems on Solaris 7

SYSTEM ERROR: Number of private slots in segment table
exhausted (1083)

Since the installation of Progress 9.0A on Solaris 7 system, this
problem occurs when trying to procopy the db, prostrct create the
db or dictionary create a db.

Although the MarketWatch indicates that Progress 90A is qualified
to run under Solaris 7, Progress does NOT support PROGRESS in
a 64-bit environment on Solaris. We ONLY support the 32-bit
environment.

Customers that are running in this environment have two options:
They can run Solaris 2.7 in 32-bit mode, or they can go back to
Solaris 2.6.

There is no schedule as to supporting Solaris in a 64-bit environment
and it hasn't even been decided if we will EVER support our product
in a 64-bit Solaris environment.

You can contact Maggie Alexander in Product Management if this is
something you need or want to pursue (offering our product on a
64-bit Solaris environment).

Note that in order to use Progress on this platform the 32-bit kernel
must be selected at boot time.

If problems continue to occur after this is selected as described
above, the patch for 9.0A may be applied. This patch is available
as the 9.0A04 release and includes the bug 99-01-27-031, which is
also in the Progress 8 patch (8.3B03) for the same problem there.
