SYMPTOM(s):
Database hangs periodically.
When database hangs, users are unable to login.
Users that are logged in are unable to do anything.
Getting Out of free shared memory errors in the database log file.
Out of free shared memory. (14394)
Protrace files from problem period are from clients getting hang up signals and Bus errors.
Shared memory clients are getting errors when attempting to terminate their sessions.
HANGUP signal received. (562)
SYSTEM ERROR: Bus error. (48)

CHANGE:
Upgraded from 9.1C to 10.2A OpenEdge on HP PA-RISC machine.
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00177639
CAUSE:
Database was being started up with the parameter file that was setting -Mxs less than the database wanted to start up with initially.
FIX:
Upgrade to 10.2A01 or later.
