Status: Unverified
SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot automatically start a project DB in OE Architect.
Project DB fails to start with the following error displayed in the OE Architect console: OpenEdge AVM started successfully for 'myTest'.
Failed to check database holder. PRODB terminated with exit code: 1
Project 'myTest' runtime connection to 'sp' : OK
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 7 64-Bit
Windows
OpenEdge 10.2B
OpenEdge was installed into the "Program Files(x86)" directory.
CAUSE:
Bug# OE00197065
FIX:
Install SP 1 for 10.2B and edit the proserve.bat file so that that
%TOOLSPROP% parameter is wrapped in quotation marks.
The workaround is to start the DB manually with proserve or have it
started automatically via the AdminService.
Also, installing OpenEdge into a directory that does not contain
spaces or parentheses seems to work as well.
