GENERATE-UUID function shows poor performance
In releases earlier than OpenEdge 10.2B, generating a few thousand UUIDs takes only a few milliseconds
In OpenEdge 10.2B FCS, the exact same code takes a seconds to generate the same number of UUIDs
FACT(s) (Environment):
The GUID function without arguments shows the same behavior, because it calls GENERATE-UUID internally

OpenEdge 10.2B Service Pack 1 contains only a partial fix. Service Pack 2 contains the complete fix and again provides performance comparable to OpenEdge 10.2A and ealier releases.
