attempts to connect to database via SQLEXP results in message regarding msvcp71.dll
FACT(s) (Environment):
Startup.pf file does not contain -E, -debugalert, -noinactiveidx parameters
Windows
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
The system is not finding a valid version of msvcp71.dll file in the path.
FIX:
Copy the %DLC%\bin\system\msvcp71.dll file to the %DLC%\bin or %windows%\system32 directory. Stop and restart the database.
