GOAL:
OpenEdge Architect: How to add the directory of a Shared AVM OpenEdge Project to the shared AVM PROPATH?
GOAL:
How do I add the directory of a new Shared AVM OpenEdge Project created by copying another Shared AVM OpenEdge Project using COPY, PASTE and RENAME to the shared AVM PROPATH?
GOAL:
Can an OpenEdge shared AVM Project have its own private PROPATH directories that are visible only to it but not to other Projects connected to that shared AVM?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
OpenEdge 10.2B
FIX:
1. When creating a new Shared AVM OpenEdge Project by Copying, Pasting and Renaming an existing one in the OpenEdge Architect, the new OpenEdge Project directory is not automatically added to the shared AVM PROPATH. Select the following to add the Project's directory to the shared AVM PROPATH:
Windows | Preferences | OpenEdge Architect | Shared AVM | PROPATH |Add External Directory.
and type or navigate to the new OpenEdge Project directory and click OK.
2. It is not possible to set private PROPATH directories for an individual OpenEdge Shared AVM project that are visible only to that Project because the logic of Shared AVM is to share the resources among all the member Projects connected to that AVM.
