Report Engine 10.2A fails to connect to 10.2B database on Windows
Report Engine connection fails will errors
Unable to disconnect from database. Database error is: DISCONNECT:
Database <name> is unopen or unknown. (1009)
** Cursor <name> already open. (1358)
** Cursor SQL_CUR0x0FDB already open. (1358)
Report Engine will display the Connect Database dialog; one of the following errors can occur when clicking OK
Error unlocking after schema read. (12537)
There is no server for database <dbname>. (1423)
Database log file reports an error for the first connection attempt
SYSTEM ERROR: Could not get _file-num from _file row - retcode: rowid: (15180)
SYSTEM ERROR: Could not get _file-num from _file row - retcode: -2 rowid: 12373 (15180)
Database server process (_MPROSRV) eventually crashes
Stack trace from _MPROSRV reads:

If Report Engine is the first process to connect to a database server process (_MPROSRV) then no further client-server connections are possible on that specific database server
