OE Architect: The Startup Parameter -RAND appears to have no effect on the OE Architect client session.
The function RANDOM(1,1000), embedded in a class method, returns the same number on each invocation.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
The project / workspace has some unknown corruption. Creating a new project in a clean workspace using OpenEdge Architect Clean and importing the same project activated the -rand functionality.
FIX:
Create a new project in a new clean workspace using the OpenEdge Architect Clean option. Import the existing project files into the new project and recompile everything.
