GOAL:
Does 10.2B .NET Open Client require Progress.ssl.dll?
GOAL:
Where is the Progress.ssl.dll file?
GOAL:
Why doesn't 10.2B ship the Progress.ssl.dll file?
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge 10.2B
Windows
FIX:
Starting in OpenEdge 10.2B the .NET SSL support is built in to the Progress.o4glrt.dll so we no longer provide the file named Progress.ssl.dll.
The .NET Open Client manual incorrectly states that Progress.ssl.dll is still in use and is a required deployment file when SSL connections are made. This is incorrect and a request has been submitted to update this manual with the correct information.
