SYMPTOM(s):
Progress Explorer tool will not run on Windows 7.
Starting Progress Explorer tool, gives a warning that Windows jvm changing on my machine.
Select Ok button get message that says to use jvmstart to setup an environment on this machine.
Process exits with no error.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows 7
OpenEdge 10.1B
CHANGE:
Upgraded Windows to Windows 7.
CAUSE:
The Progress Explorer Tool process is not running with Administrator rights, also note: Windows 7 is not a supported Operating System for 10.1B
FIX:
Upgrade Progress OpenEdge to a supported version and use OpenEdge Explorer.
If this is not possible at this time, running Progress Explorer tool as Administrator will allow it run.
