GOAL:

How to disable the LogFileNameChanged alert in OE Management

GOAL:

Is there an option to disable the LogFileNameChanged alert in OE Management?

FACT(s) (Environment):

OpenEdge Management 3.2x
All Supported Operating Systems

CAUSE:

Bug# OE00194194

CAUSE:

The alert expects the file name to remain the same so the resource can be monitored, if the resource name is changed OEM can no longer monitor it, so an internal alert is fired. The 'rolling log file' feature of ubroker log files is a different feature which OEM needs to accomodate in future.

FIX:

At this time there is no way to disable the LogFileNameChanged information alert in OE Management when ubroker logfile threshold limit is set.

Workarounds:
- Lower the broker logging level to 1
- Increase the logfile threshold size [ srvrLogThreshold, brkrLogThreshold ]

An enhancement request has been logged for this feature to be added to OpenEdge Management.
