SYMPTOM(s):
Trying to run prowin32.exe fails with error:_edit.p not found. Unable to run Progress procedure editor.
Double clicking on the prowin32.exe icon bin directory of the OpenEdge installation fails to bring up the procedure editor.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows Server 2008
OpenEdge 10.2A
Windows 64 bit
CAUSE:
The OpenEdge 10.2A 64 bit Windows product is a server only product that does not include GUI client support.
FIX:
To access an OpenEdge 10.2A database running on a Windows 64 bit platform using a GUI client, the client must be run remotely from another non-64 bit Windows installation.
