Error 6142 connecting Data Server on 64 bit Windows
Failed to connect to the <db-type> database. (6142)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Connecting from 64 bit windows machine
DataServer license is 32 bit license
x86_64 (AMD64/EMT64)
OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
The data source was not properly added using 32 bit ODBC administrator
FIX:
Add the ODBC DSN configuration using the WINDIR%\syswow64\odbcad32.exe tool. This was a 64 bit server and the 32 bit DSN had not been added properly.
