NCR Kernel Parameters

For the NCR System V Release 4 machines, the kernel requires that
the maximum number of semaphores per semaphore identifier (SEMMSL)
is two-and-a-half times the number of operations per semop(2)
system call (SEMOPM). SEMOPM and the maximum number of undo entries
per undo structure (SEMUME) should be equal.

If these identifiers are set differently than the above NCR guideline
settings, PROGRESS might generate the following error messages,
indicating that SEM limits have been exceeded.

Semaphore id was removed (1075)

SYSTEM ERROR: unable to <acc/cr> semaphore set <db>:<ch>, errno 22.
