How to automate WebClient upgrade from Progress version 9.x to OpenEdge version 10.x
GOAL:
Is it possible to automatically uninstall WebClient 9.x during installation of WebClient 10.x ?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
Progress 9.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
There is no automatic way of uninstalling v9 WebClient and then installing v10 release, at least not provided within WebClient executable.
Although, this could be achieved by writing custom install/uninstall script, there is no direct way of doing it using just WebClient executables.
You would either have to develop your own script, or to use some third party tool to automate this task.
