CAUSE:
Research indicates that the following Internet Explorer Advanced Internet Options settings contribute to the restrictive behavior of Internet Explorer:
Allow previously unused ActiveX controls to run without prompt
Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls
Download unsigned ActiveX controls
Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting
FIX:
To get to these options:
Open Internet Explorer
Choose Internet Options from the Tools menu.
Choose the Security Tab
Select Trusted sites
Click on the Custom Level button on the bottom of the dialog window.
Within here are the above special Active X related options.
Set these to Prompt then attempt the WebClient installation again.
