XCOFF64 object files are not allowed in 32-bit mode when building _progres with Probuild
Compiler xlc_r is used
OBJECT_MODE environment variable is not set
Application programs were compiled on 64-bit mode
FACT(s) (Environment):
OpenEdge media is 32-bit
OpenEdge 10.0B
IBM AIX
PowerPC 64-bit
CAUSE:
OpenEdge installation was using 32-bit media and application programs were compiled on 64-bit mode. Object files on 64 and 32 bit can't be linked therefore error XCOFF64 is generated.
FIX:
Reinstall OpenEdge using 64-bit media or recompile application programs on 32-bit mode.
