SYMPTOM(s):
Can't display line characters in a terminal session
Can't see line characters with Free version of SSH Tectia
Lines are displayed with letters instead draw lines
Setting TERM, LANG and LOCALE environment variables to vt100, en_US.iso8859-1 does not work
Using PROTERMCAP does not work
FACT(s) (Environment):
Can see line characters with Putty, CRT and paid version of SSH Tectia
Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 4.1

CAUSE:
Free version of SSH Tectia emulator is used and does not include a font to display line characters and does not support character encoding.
FIX:
Use Putty, CRT or paid version of SSH Tectia.
