_progres is left behind consuming 100% CPU time after user powers down terminal session and restarts it
Stack trace from _progres in 10.1B03 reads:

ORACLE close error 0. (1487)
The Oracle alertlog shows occurances of ORA-01555
FACT(s) (Environment):
When users experience being ?blocked? in the application screen while working they power off and re-start their terminals and after that these ?orphaned? _progres processes are left behind.

CAUSE:
Bug# OE00180113
FIX:
Upgrade to 10.1C04 or 10.2A01 or later where the issue no longer exists.
The workaround would be to kill the orphaned _progres session with kill -9
