SUMMARY:
When setting up the external compiler, the external compile session
maintains its own connection to the workspace databases. The logical
database names specified in the connection parameters for the external
compile session must match the PDBASE object names in RTB (even if you
have an xref level of 6). If the logical name is wrong, you get the
error message:
Error: Error! rtb0007: Can't find dbase referenced in xref
EXPLANATION:
Roundtable always makes sure that it can find the PDBASE object that
is used when a program is compiled. It looks at the logical database
name specified in the Progress xref file for the compiled object.
It then tries to match it to a PDBASE object in RTB to ensure xref
integrity.
