SYMPTOM(s):
Adaptman cannot start Sonic Adapter after migrating from version 9 to 10.
Unable to connect to <adapterName> (8289)
Unable to find <servername> (8281)
Modifications to the AdminServerPlugins.properties from prior versions copied into new version.
Modifications to ubroker.properties from prior version copied into new version.
FACT(s) (Environment):
IBM AIX 5.3
OpenEdge 10.2A
CHANGE:
Migrated from Progress version 9 to OpenEdge 10.
CAUSE:
The method to reference properties files in version 9 and 10 has changed.
FIX:
Beginning in OpenEdge 10.1C there are more commandline switches to the proadsv script which allow distinct properties files to be referenced outside of the OpenEdge installation.
The older method to reference non-standard properties files would often require modification to the AdminServerPlugins.dat or AdminServerPlugins.properties.
Switches now exist for the proadsv script to give the following configuration options:
-dbproperties <filename> Database configuration information.
The default is c:\dlc101c\properties\conmgr.properties
-dbaproperties <filename> Database agent configuration information.
The default is c:\dlc101c\properties\agent.properties
-smdbproperties <filename> Script managed database configuration information.
The default is c:\dlc101c\properties\smdatabase.properties
-ubproperties <filename> UBroker configuration information.
The default is c:\dlc101c\properties\ubroker.properties
-mgmtproperties <filename> Management configuration information.
The default is c:\dlc101c\properties\management.properties
