SYMPTOM(s):
WebClient application fails with message unable to expand cabinet file containing prowcapp file <path>\prowcapc.
Message also contains:cabinet file does not have the correct format
After selecting OK the application crashes.
FACT(s) (Environment):
Site using content filtering for web content.
Windows Server 2003
Citrix/Terminal Services
OpenEdge 10.1C
CAUSE:
Web content filter was randomly modifying content of the prowcapc as it was being downloaded.
FIX:
When using some antivirus software or web content filtering software make sure these softwares exclude Progress / OpenEdge related files.
