SYMPTOM(s):
Receiving errors 8842 and 9088 with VMWare 4.0
Start and running the application results in many error messages. The issues seem to relate to running the executable files.
Could not spawn a SQL server. (8842)
The proxml.dll or libproxml.so was missing or incomplete or XML ould not be initialized. (9088)
FACT(s) (Environment):
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.1x
Windows Server 2003
CHANGE:
Upgraded the VMWare version from 3.5 to 4.0
CAUSE:
VMWare 4.0 is not a supported virtualization platform. The Product Availability guide lists VMWare 3.5 as the current supported version.
FIX:
Downgrade to VMWare 3.5.
