Application using 4GL Sockets can't connect to a remote server
Application using 4GL Sockets does not read data
Invalid socket object used in READ method. (9178)
4GL Socket application is communicating to a remote server on a listening port
3rd party software Motorola DAC (Motorola Digital Access Controller) used to start listening on the remote server
Motorola DAC does not record any requests
FACT(s) (Environment):
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.0
OpenEdge 10.1B03 Service Pack
CAUSE:
Remote host was not defined in /etc/hosts.allow, /etc/hosts.deny or /etc/inetd.config files.
FIX:
Add remote hosts to the configuration files.
