GOAL:
Why isn't 10.1B AdminServer seeing the java arguments for -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis and -XX:GCTimeRatio in the AdminServerPlugins, properties file?
GOAL:
Can I set the Java arguments for -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis and -XX:GCTimeRatio in the AdminServerPlugins, properties file for 10.1B?
FACT(s) (Environment):
Sun Solaris SPARC 64-bit
OpenEdge 10.1B
FIX:
These command line arguments are specific to Java version 1.5. 10.1B OpenEdge makes use of Java 1.4.2_06 and these options are not within the specifications for that version of Java. See the Tuning Garbage Collection with the 1.4.2 Java Virtual Machine documentation for additional tuning recommendations: http://java.sun.com/docs/hotspot/gc1.4.2/index.html
