FACT(s) (Environment):

CAUSE:
The authentication type for the user may not be supported by Progress / OpenEdge.
FIX:
Progress Explorer currently supports single signon, MD5, and DES encryption ciphers.
Both MD5 and DES are normally part of the standard crypt functions from Unix.
Any other encryption ciphers used by the operating system will not successfully pass authentication between the Progress Explorer and the system where the Progress AdminServer resides upon.
As an alternative, you may use OpenEdge Management or OpenEdge Explorer in replacement of Progress Explorer .
