SYMPTOM(s):
Cannot make a multi-database connection with ODBC or JDBC
Using as primary database copy of empty and as auxiliary copy of sports database
Same works fine if having both primary and auxiliary database either both copies of empty or both sports and sports2000 database copies
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
OpenEdge 10.1C
CAUSE:
The code page for the empty database (iso8859-1) is not the same as the code pages for the sports(undefined) and sports2000 databases (undefined). MDBQ databases must all be of the same code page. There is not a bug here.
FIX:
Make sure all databases involved of a MQDB connection have the same codepage
