Unable to install OpenEdge 10.2A on an AIX system
Cannot load program /usr/jtaffar/oe_setup/_ovrly because of the following errors:
0509-130 Symbol resolution failed for _ovrly because:
0509-136 Symbol __fd_poll (number 61) is not exported from dependent module /usr/lib/libc.a(shr.o).
0509-136 Symbol __pth_init (number 121) is not exported from dependent module /usr/lib/libpthreads.a(shr_xpg5.o).
0509-136 Symbol __pthread (number 124) is not exported from dependent module /usr/lib/libpthreads.a(shr_xpg5.o).
0509-192 Examine .loader section symbols with the 'dump -Tv' command.

Trying to install the same cd image on an AIX system running AIX 5.3 works without any errors.
CAUSE:
The minimum OS requirements for installing 10.2A on an AIX system are either AIX 5.3 or 6.1.
FIX:
Upgrade the version of AIX to 5.3 or 6.1. As stated in the OpenEdge 10 Platform & Product Availability Guide, AIX 5.3 or 6.1 is required to install OpenEdge 10.2A.
