SYMPTOM(s):
Progress client using -yc startup parameter is not updating client.mon file when control-c is pressed.
Running customer application the client.mon file does not update when issuing control-c.
Running Progress client and entering Data Dictionary the client.mon file is updated correctly when issuing control-c.

Progress/OpenEdge Product Family
CAUSE:
Trap command was present in customized scripts used to start Progress / OpenEdge application.
FIX:
Trapping of signals in scripts which launch Progress can impair standard functionality with regards to signal handling.
If encountering problems which involve signal handling and improper signal handling, review the scripts used to start the application and see if any "trap" statements exist.
