SYMPTOM(s):

Client session ends when running scripts to connect to a 6.3F database on SCO Unix after system crash.

No protrace or core files created when client session ends.

FACT(s) (Environment):

Database starts cleanly in multi-user mode.
Reviewed code logic and dumped first two tables referenced by code and no errors were generated during table dumps.
Client which doesn't run code can connect in single user mode to database.
Client which doesn't run code can connect in multi-user mode to database.
proutil <dbname> -C dbanalys completes without error.
Client application started by script.
Caldera Open UNIX/SCO UnixWare

CAUSE:

Text file referenced by the application startup scripts was corrupt.

FIX:

Check all scripts and scripted file references that relate to start of the client portion of the application. A file may have been damaged during the system crash.
