FIX:
Progress supports unicode with the release of version 9.0A. This added functionality will allow you to peform the task described above successfully. In order to do this, however, all databases involved need to have been using the UTF8 unicode code page. Attempting to load non-unicode based data into a database that is using unicode will likely cause the same corruption problems as originally stated in this entry.
