PROMSGS error when installing OpenEdge Explorer through Terminal Server


Failed to copy C:\Progress\OEManage10\prolang\fre\promsgs.fre to C:\Progress\DLC10\promsgs
Unable
to automatically update promsge. The file is currently in use by
another process (_mprosrv, _progress, prowin32, etc). When the install
has completed you MUST copy the latest version of promsgs.
From: C:\Progress\OEManage10\prolang\fre\promsgs.fre
To: C:\Progress\DLC10\promsgs

FACT(s) (Environment):

Installing OpenEdge Explorer on a directory that is different from the OpenEdge installation directory

The prolang directory can be found under the OpenEdge installation directory
The user has Local Administrator rights

Windows Terminal Services
OpenEdge 10.2A 32-bit
OpenEdge Explorer 10.2A 32-bit

FIX:

Install the OpenEdge Explorer using the INSTALL mode of the Terminal Server or install the product directly on the machine
