SYMPTOM(s):
InstallShield error running setup.exe for OpenEdge Explorer 32 bit
Setup has experienced an error
Error code is -6002
Following suggestions in error message dooes not resolve the problem
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows Server 2008
Windows Vista
OpenEdge 10.2A
CAUSE:
Problem writing/reading from the
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\InstallShield directory
FIX:
Rename\move the InstallShield directory under C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\.
The directory is, by default hidden. To change his, go into Folder Options -> View -> choose show hidden files and folders.
Re-run the setup.exe. If not Administrator, right mouse click setup.exe and Run As Administrator.
