GOAL:
How to Create a Virtual Directory with MS IIS and WebSpeed
GOAL:
MS IIS Web Server
FACT(s) (Environment):
Windows
WebSpeed 3.x
OpenEdge 10.x
FIX:
Start the Personal Web Server Manager or the Internet Service Manager. There will be an option to create a new Virtual directory. The directory name will depend on the WebSpeed version installed:
/webspeed31D for WebSpeed 3.1D
/webspeed31E for WebSpeed 3.1E
/webspeed100B for OpenEdge 10.0B, etc..
The virtual directory needs to point to the sub directory "webspeed" under your WebSpeed or messenger installation directory.
For instance, if you installed WebSpeed under c:\progress\DLC, the virtual directory path needs to point to C:\progress\DLC\webspeed
