idxbuild process terminated with error 18 on a Linux machine.
SYSTEM ERROR: Invalid recid in index <index-num> on file <file-name>. Entry ignored. (18)
Cannot perform an OS copy of the database from one location to another due to hardware issues.
Attempts to start the database fail with error 651
Index reconstruction utility was aborted. Rerun it to completion. (651)
Cannot truncate bi file due to 651 error.
Could access the database using command proutil dbname -C dbrpr
Unable to dump the database using dbrpr (unsupported dump routine) as 0 records were dumped.
FACT(s) (Environment):
All information for the database is in the schema area.

CAUSE:
Disk drive where the database resides is experiencing hardware problems.
FIX:
Fix the hardware problem.
Once hardware problems are addressed, then try to perform the idxbuild again. If still experiencing errors after this point, please contact Progress Technical Support for additional assistance with the database.
