SYMPTOM(s):
WebSpeed broker does not start when database server has no more resources
Error 748 is displayed within the <wsbroker>.server.log
The server or the system has no more resources. Please contact Progress Technical Support. (748)
FACT(s) (Environment):
Another webspeed broker connecting to the same database started fine
Initial number of agents was set to 1
User gets the same error when used a character client to connect to the same database
All Supported Operating Systems

OpenEdge 10.x
CAUSE:
Database ran out of the available connection as character, batch and other webspeed agents from different machines connect to the same database
FIX:
Set the database server startup parameter -n to the value high enough to allow all required WebSpeed connections in addition to other connecting clients and restart database.
