NCR System V.4 release - Memory Issue

In NCR System V.4 releases, the kernel does not return the deallocated
memory to the free memory buffer. The kernel receives the memory back
from PROGRESS but, since it is not returned to the free memory pool,
it seems like PROGRESS is not releasing the memory. SAR 2.0002 under
this release of UNIX does not accurately report the amount of
available free memory. You can obtain accurate information on memory
from the UNIX CRASH utility or from the SHOWMEM utility. SAR 2.1 is
more accuratethan SAR 2.0002. NCR Technical Support cannot determine
when the kernel returns the memory to the free memory pool.
