Summary: This knowledgebase describes where the installation
information for Progress is stored. Sometimes the user calling in didn't install Progress and therefore doesn't know what "type" of installation was done. This information is often necessary and this document will reveal where that information is stored.
Step by step details:
For a windows system, this information is stored in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\PSC\Provision\90A\Install Type
(Substitute Provision with the license you installed and
90A with the version)
On UNIX there is a hidden file in the install directory (e.g. $DLC)
called .installType. It would contain the string:
