FACT(s) (Environment):
Oracle DataServer
SYMPTOM(s):
Why does the following message provide userid and tty information against a Progress database but does not provide that same information against an ORACLE database?
<file-name> in use by <user> on <tty>. Wait or press <STOP> to stop. (121)
FIX:
Since the DataServer relies only on ORACLE locks, this information is only available through ORACLE utilities.
Please see the "Monitoring Locks" section in the Progress DataServer for ORACLE Guide for more information on how to view these locks via an ORACLE Utility.
For more information on how to use ORACLE utilities, please contact ORACLE.
