SYMPTOM(s):
Backup performance problem on Win2000 Server
A lot of paging while running "probkup online"
Microsoft SP3 for Win2000 installed
registry value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control/Session Manager/ Memory Management/LargeSystemCache changed from 1 to 0 for limiting the File System cache (limit to 500Meg on the PC with 1Gig of RAM).
The database broker has been started with -pinshm parameter

CAUSE:
Bug# OE00093770
FIX:
To work around the problem, run cacheset (a Sysinternals utility) every few minutes so that the cache is emptied and no paging occurs.
