System error: Memory Violation (49)

FACT(s) (Environment):

The database is running on UNIX
No core file is generated
Existing Windows XP PC's are connecting fine to the database
New Windows 2008 server with OE10.1B FCS causing the above issues
The OE database has an empty Oracle schema image injected by ERWin data modeling software
All Supported Operating Systems
OpenEdge 10.x

CAUSE:

A empty Oracle schema holder in the OE Database

FIX:

Delete the oracle schema holder from the OpenEdge database using the following steps. make sure no one is connected to the database except you. If other users are connected, you will get schema lock message during the oracle schema deletion.

1. Connect to the database from the existing Windows XP PC.
2. Go to the Data Administration > Database menu > Selecting Working Databases... > Select the database type "ORACLE" and Click OK.
3. On the next prompt for connection, select "Yes" then click "Cancel". (This step is done to select the Oracle empty schema BUT not to connect to Oracle database)
4 Got the the DataServer menu on the Data Administration > ORACLE Utilities > Delete DataServer Schema.. to delete the empty Oracle Database schema injected by the ERWin Data modeling software.
