SYMPTOM(s):
Probkup online is taking longer and longer each night to perform a full online backup.
If machine is stopped and restarted the online backup is faster for the first day but progressively slower for each successive day.

CAUSE:
On 64-bit Windows systems there is a fair possibility that the file system cache will absorb all free memory over time.
This can cause poor performance for processes over time.
This degradation in performance arises as less and less RAM is available to the new processes so the system is forced to use the page file (swap / virtual memory).
One of the primary changes that effects the amount of cache Windows will keep is MaxSystemCacheMBytes.
FIX:
On 64-bit Windows systems make sure that Microsoft Windows Dynamic Cache Service is installed and configured to limit the amount of RAM Windows will use for file cache.
