In version 8 of the ODBC DataServer, when connecting to a foreign database (such as Informix, MS SQL Server, Access etc...), you will receive the following WARNING message:
"The <dllname> driver was not tested and approved by Progress Software"
This message can be ignored and is simply providing information to the user that the driver dll has not been tested by Progress since it is not Progress-provided software.
This warning message will also come up even if you are using the drivers that Progress supports with the ODBC DataServer (Intersolv or Microsoft Access Driver) if the EXACT version of the DLL is not present.
In version 9 of Progress ODBC DataServer, this message has been removed to avoid confusion.
